Sunshine and seashore 🏖

My eyelids flutter open and the sunshine hits my eyes. I look around and feel the air dancing in my hair. The wind is making my hair into a weird mess and I couldn’t do anything even if I tried. I can hear my family singing songs and laughing loudly as I walk towards the blue waves. 

The sand is cool despite the scorching heat I feel around me. I am walking slowly and my feet are drenching in the sand. My footsteps follow me as I leave a trail behind me. I wish to see my footsteps vanish in the turquoise waters but they are stubborn (well, just like me I guess). I leave a trace of myself as I enter the soft blue waters. My feet have emerged in the soft and cold waters. I can feel the serenity sweeping in. I can feel the waves taking away all kinds of sorrow with them. As they stumble and rise peacefully, I am home. 

I take two more steps and the water reaches my knees. I feel like this is where I am meant to be as I let myself fall into the cool embrace of the sea. The sun is shining overhead but the waters take away the glare. 

I can feel my hair floating as the water covers me. As soon as the wave is gone, I am left there covered in a joyish aura. I walk back and sit down on the shoreline. I look at my companions: the seashore, the cool water, the stunning sea shells and the warm sun. My feet are still playing in the water as my family comes running. They cover me with towels and hugs as we continue to jump and play in the lovely waters. 

The sun is shining, the water is beckoning me and I am home. What a beautiful day!  

Ooff! As beautiful as this sounds to my ears, it isn’t true… I am sitting at home in my favorite pajamas as I write down what my dream-come-true day would be like. Once this lockdown is over, I am running away to some undiscovered beach lol.
